0900 - 1730 3rd PRC 2016 pre-conference workshops are full-day workshops designed to provide participants a chance to take a deep dive into tool or content being covered. They provide an excellent opportunity to explore and learn. Space is limited to ensure highly interactive and focused sessions.
Sign up to one of our pre-conference workshops for a chance to develop practical skills, in-depth insights and specialised knowledge. Pre-conference workshops must be signed up to in advance. 6 CPD points will be awarded for pre-conference attendance. |
Biostatistics for Beginners

Biostatistics have been playing key and important roles in statistics and other scientific research fields in recent years. The workshop will be very helpful for great understanding of the basics of quantitative measurement and analysis in health science research.

This interactive workshop will emphasis on teaching participants to carry out statistical analysis on their own using SPSS. Participants will learn the essential statistical considerations in clinical trials. In addition, various functions of the SPSS will also be taught. |
Questionnaire Development & Validation
The workshop will cover the important aspects of a questionnaire development and validation.
Hands-on sessions will be conducted along with the lectures to guide participants through the steps involved in conducting the analysis. Topics covered will include:

Rodent Handling

The animal handling workshop is organised to provide a basic training for the animal users as well as animal researchers. This is essential as personnel in this line should be well versed in animal health, nutrition, handling, and restraining as well as animal care. The procedure to conduct animal study should be according to the standard of animal ethics.
